Velvet is a private, on-device romantic companion app. Your privacy is the core of the product.
Nothing. Velvet does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There is no account, no sign-up, no tracking, and no analytics. The app works fully offline — you can use it in Airplane Mode.
All of your conversations and settings are stored encrypted on your device only. Nothing you type or receive is ever sent to any server. Because your data never leaves your device, we cannot access, recover, read, or share it.
The only network activity is Apple handling your subscription purchase through the App Store, which is governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy. We never see your payment information.
At any time, in the app's Privacy tab, you can export an encrypted backup of your data or permanently delete everything. You can also lock the app with Face ID.
Velvet is for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
